What Is a Good Score on the FireTEAM Test?

The FireTEAM Test evaluates interpersonal, mechanical, reading, and math skills essential for firefighter success.

Scores are typically emailed a few days after testing.

A good score: 70–80% is generally considered strong, though larger cities may require a higher cutoff.

Departments may also evaluate dimensional scores, assessing traits like leadership, integrity, teamwork, safety orientation, communication, and mechanical reasoning.

Top candidates, usually the top 50–100 scorers, advance to the next stage of recruitment.
