Client Success Stories

Results from firefighter candidates across Canada and the United States who prepared with us.

"I had failed the OFAI aptitude test twice before coming to S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring. My tutor identified exactly where I was losing marks—specifically in spatial reasoning—and gave me strategies I never would have figured out on my own. I finally passed my stage one last week!"

T.W. | Firefighter Candidate

"The resume review and mock interview sessions were worth every penny. It’s one thing to pass the written test, but I had no idea how to sell myself in the panel interview. The feedback was honest, direct, and completely changed how I answered the behavioral questions."

K.L. | Probationary Firefighter

"I was overwhelmed by the differences between the CPS and FACT tests. The test prep course broke down the unique requirements for each recruitment. We didn't just practice generic math; we practiced the specific speed and logic questions used by the departments I was applying to."

R.D. | Recruit, Peel Region

"I haven't been in a classroom in 10 years, so I was intimidated to start studying again. The instructors here are incredibly patient and knowledgeable. They don't just teach you the answers; they teach you how to think like a firefighter under pressure."

P.S. | Pre-Service Student

"The Oral Comprehension simulation we did in the tutoring session was harder than the real thing—which was perfect. When I got to the actual exam, I was calm because I had already practiced listening for the critical details with an instructor watching."

G.H. | Successful Applicant

"Investing in these tutoring sessions was the best career move I've made. I stopped wasting time on random internet practice tests and focused on a structured study plan designed by pros. I got hired in my first round of applications after working with them."
