How S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring Works
Contact us to receive a complimentary consultation with an experienced Teacher and Learning Strategist. In your consultation, we will discuss your child’s S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring goals, their program support needs and observed challenges, their interests outside of school, and their availability.
Students are matched to S.M.A.R.T. Tutors based on their grade level, academic subjects, location, and availability. S.M.A.R.T. Tutors are certified teachers and teacher candidates who are familiar with the Ontario Curriculum. We provide in-home tutoring to students in Barrie, Bradford, Innisfil, Orillia, and Midland. We also offer online tutoring to elementary and highschool students across Ontario.
We provide a regular weekly tutoring service. Every tutoring session is 50-minutes long and structured to make the most of your time and meet the individual student’s needs. Set your child’s tutoring schedule to a day and time convenient to you. We work around family holidays and student-athlete schedules.

What is Tutoring Like?
The first tutoring session typically includes a get-to-know-you activity to build rapport and an academic assessment to identify your child’s weaknesses and strengths in the subject area. S.M.A.R.T. Tutors will meet your child at their academic level, and work at a pace that is comfortable for your child.

Tutoring Service Rates
- S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring rates depend on the level of service you need and start at $45 per session
- We do not charge administration fees and there is no long-term commitment to our service
- You can terminate your tutoring services at any time by giving us 15 days notice
